“CREATING AND SHARING KNOWLEDGE IS AT THE HEART OF ESSCA RESEARCH “
At a time when excellence and innovation are priorities for governments and firms, institutions of higher education in management are called upon to play an increasing role in the creation and sharing of original knowledge.
ESSCA’s research policy aims at producing new knowledge that provides concrete responses to issues organisations are facing today and at the same time feeds into the teaching curriculum. The goal of high-level scientific research is to generate results that are meaningful to companies, students and society as a whole.
Carried out within the ESSCA Research Lab., four original research strands set the school apart:
- Digital Organisations
- Entrepreneurship, Business Models and Innovation
- EU-Asia Institute
- Finance and Risk Management
Each research strand develops its own research strategy and agenda covering a four-year period, based on a list of research priorities and funded projects.
The development of both national and international scientific collaborations plays hand in hand with the willingness to serve a large audience – the scientific and business communities, but also students and the school’s social environment, thus reinforcing the visibility of research findings.
ESSCA and its faculty are open to the world, sensitive to new ideas and attentive to a fast-changing environment, three attitudes that ESSCA’s research philosophy reflects and promotes.
