Validation of international semesters
ESSCA uses the ECTS system and ECTS credits are attributed to all validated study and traineeship periods abroad. For study periods in Europe, students must pass 30 ECTS credits per semester. Outside Europe, students must validate the full semester load of a national student, considered equivalent to 30 ECTS. Course units are pre-validated in a learning agreement by a tutor and all changes must be submitted for validation before final registration. The learning outcomes for the traineeships abroad are pre-validated in a learning contract and ECTS credits allocated based on the length and content of the internship and the reports submitted to tutors. The validation of all mobility periods is the responsibility of programme directors.
