Accreditations & Memberships
Accreditations and certifications
ESSCA was awarded accreditation by AACSB International (www.aacsb.edu), the US-based global leader for higher business education in May 2014. Only 5% of business schools worldwide are granted the AACSB label. This prestigious accreditation is awarded after an in-depth assessment of an institution’s performance against a set of demanding quality standards, among which the academic excellence of its faculty, the quality of design and delivery of its programmes, as well as the coherence and sustainability of its strategy.
The EQUIS accreditation, which ESSCA obtained in June 2016, is awarded by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), Europe’s premium accreditation body.
Institutions that are awarded the EQUIS label must demonstrate high standards of quality and internationalisation in all dimensions of their activity.
EQUIS rewards high-quality in both teaching and research, founded on close links with the corporate world. The standards lay great emphasis on the creation of a stimulating learning environment that favours the development of students’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills, but also attitudes of global responsibility. Particular attention is given to the capacity for innovation, especially with regard to programme design and delivery.
The Master in Management Degree
ESSCA has repeatedly been granted the right to deliver a Master’s degree by the French ministry of higher education and research, in accordance with the standards of the “Licence-Master-Doctorate” scheme established across Europe by the Bologna agreement. The ministry thus attests to the high level of professional expertise provided by the ESSCA 5-year management programme and to the degree’s high reputation on the national level.
The EPAS certification is awarded by the EFMD, the largest awarding body in Europe. It certifies that a programme has met a set of very demanding requirements in terms of international standards. ESSCA is the first post-secondary business school with EPAS certification for the standard of excellence demonstrated by its Master’s programme.
The Bachelor in International Management is recognised BAC + 3 by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research
All of our MSc. Programmes are also recognised by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research

Since then this association, based in Slovenia, has become a vibrant network and forum of exchange that reaches out far beyond Europe with over 210 member institutions worldwide. CEEMAN also awards the IQA accreditation label. In September 2014 ESSCA hosted the 22nd CEEMAN annual conference in Budapest.
Founded in 1989, the European Association for International Education is the acknowledged European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education.
