On March 20th, the Maison Départementale des Sports at Ponts-de-Cé hosted the 2009 Challenge award ceremony for young volunteers, which was organised by the Ministry for Youth and Sports and seeks to promote volunteer activities in associations among young people between the ages of 16 and 29. |

Pierre Lebert, a first year ESSCA student on the Angers campus, won a silver medal this year for his involvement in the world of tennis. |

This experienced clay court player who has competed at a regional level is very involved in training. For example, he managed the team of ball boys and girls at the Anjou Open, the only ATP tennis tournament in the department. For the Tie Break association, which promotes tennis within ESSCA, Pierre was responsible for the scoreboard at the Grandes Ecoles Open organised in La Baule last May. When asked about his career ambitions, his response is immediate, "Obviously something to do with tennis!"
