From April 3 to 5, 2009, the Didascalies team, ESSCA's theatre association, participated for the first time in the "Trophée des Arts" held in Barcelona. Six schools competed this year: the ESC Rouen, the ESC Pau, the ESC Dijon, the ESC Toulouse, Euromed and ESSCA.

Thanks to its outstanding performance in theatre and improvisation, the Didascalies team won the 2009 trophy. The jury also recognised Didascalies' team spirit by awarding it the "fair play" trophy. The team members enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the festival and the quality of the organisation, and already plan to defend their title next year.
