After graduating from ESSCA in 2010 with a major in Project and Process Engineering and Management, Simon Sappey joined the Sportfive sports marketing agency as a Project Leader for Ligue 1 and the French Cup, and then Canal+ Events, a subsidiary of the Canal+ Group, as Marketing Manager.
He has now been appointed to work with the UEFA teams in Warsaw on the Euro 2012 football championship as Relations Manager for Federations.

Olivier Cohn (ESSCA 2000) appointed Director General of the Best Western hotel chain in France at the age of 33
After graduating from ESSCA, he almost immediately joined this American company, which had 160 hotels in France in its portfolio at the time, as compared to 304 today. As Manager of Communication Technologies, Olivier Cohn was responsible for the launch of the chain's first Internet strategy.
In 2003, he took over a project division where he supported a number of the chain's departments with a view to improving the company's organisation.
As Project and e-commerce Director starting in 2005, he focused on the development of Internet sales over a four-year period.
In 2010, he created a new department, Revenue Management, where he developed the chain's distribution capacities while supporting the growth of sales from the chain's hotels.
Today, as Director General, his objective is to "pursue the chain's development by acquiring a pool of 450 hotels, i.e. 27,000 rooms, by 2015, with consolidated sales of €70 million".

Xavier Boidevezi (ESSCA 1998) appointed International Product Director for the SEB Group
Xavier Boidevezi spent 13 years at DANONE, starting out as Management Controller in Germany, then Product Leader for a period of three years before becoming Senior Product Leader in Saudi Arabia. He was then promoted to the position of DANONE Group Head in France. More recently, he was Marketing Director in Vietnam.

Marina Réale-Laden (ESSCA 2003), Chef at the François 1er
Born on July 27, 1979 in Thonon les Bains, at 16, Marina left for a one year stay in Balfour, North Dakota. In her high school in this agricultural state, she registered for piano, welding and carpentry classes.
Upon returning to France, she passed her baccalaureat degree, specialising in sciences, in 1998.
In 2003, she graduated from ESSCA. However, she wanted to work in a kitchen. After 10 phone calls, Alain Ducasse agreed to meet her. Despite his attempts to dissuade her, the young woman still insisted she would become a chef. She worked in Paris, then at Louis XV in Monaco in the three star chef's kitchens. "Tough, demanding training, but a magnificent experience."
After La Bouitte in Saint-Martin de Belleville, working alongside René and Maxime Meilleur, where she worked in rotation and was able to experience all the facets of cooking, she moved to the Château of Coudrée where she has been delving into her creativity since 2007. Also in 2007, she graduated at the head of her class from the Institut des Hautes Etudes du Goût de Reims, where she was awarded "honours" for her thesis entitled "Medieval Gastronomy adds Spice to the Cuisine of the 21st Century".

Olivier Smague's (ESSCA 2002) takeover of the Staf 56 company one year ago.
There are two ways to become an entrepreneur: creating a company or taking one over. Olivier Smague, the head of Staf 56 in Fourchêne, chose the second. A successful experience.
In January 2009, he left the real estate agency in Vannes he had worked at since 2002, which, incidentally, he had almost taken over. "I had these thoughts in mind," he says. To improve his knowledge in this area, he joined an association in Angers, "Cédants et Repreneurs d'Affaires", and followed an eight-week course.
In December, he met with a specialised firm in Vannes, who suggested he take over Staf 56, a reprographics and printing company, also involved in managing tenders.
The company grew within the year. Staf 56 is involved in a number of activities: reprographics (copies, printing ...), graphic design (commercial documents, flyers, logos ...), large format printing (posters ...), map printing and tender management for the construction industry, as well as electronic dematerialisation.

Manfred Url appointed CEO of Raiffeisen Bausparkasse, the construction company owned by the Austrian lending institution.
Born in Kapfenberg, Austria, Manfred Url has worked for the Raiffeisenbank group since 1982. He started in Styria in Raiffeisenbank's (RLB) regional department. Paul Le Bihan, a 55 year old native of the Finistère region and a former ESSCA student (Class of 1976), has just been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sferen, which is a major mutual insurance company resulting from the recent merger of Maif, Macif and Matmut. Born in Plouzevédé, Paul Le Bihan progressively moved from the banking and insurance sector in various French regions to the insurance unit of the BPCE (Banque Populaire Caisse d'Epargne), which he joined in 2009. Studies in Morlaix
After having studied in Morlaix, then at ESSCA, Paul Le Bihan started off his career in 1977 at the Crédit Agricole. He stayed at the "green bank" in the Brest branch and at the regional head office for the Finistère region in Quimper for a total of 10 years. He then became Development Director and Managing Director of Brest's Caisse d'Epargne before becoming a member of the Board of the Caisse d'Epargne for Brittany in Rennes after the two structures merged. With his 20 years of experience in banking in Brittany, Paul Le Bihan became Chairman of the Board of the Caisse d'Epargne of the Limousin region, then the Loire Drôme Ardèche region, before taking over the management of the bank's insurance unit in 2004.
Attached to Brittany
Paul Le Bihan is very attached to Brittany. He has a house in Roscoff and his parents reside in the Morlaix region. "I come once a month and continue to sail in Morlaix Bay." Paul Le Bihan is also Chairman of the Belem foundation (Fondation Belem).
