ESSCA programme
The main ESSCA programme lasts 5 years and leads to a state-accredited degree equivalent to Master in Management degree. Structured in two parts, the 3-year core curriculum or “premier cycle» gives students a grounding in all the main areas of management. Two foreign languages, one of which is English are also taught (students have the choice between Spanish and German for their second language).
Students are recruited to the ESSCA programme via competitive entrance exams. The majority join in first year (there are generally over 4,000 applicants for 420 places). A smaller number both French and English students enter at Master level.
The “programme Master” in years four and five enables students to specialise in a particular subject area. One semester of study or work abroad is mandatory, as is an internship of between 4 to 6 months and an applied research dissertation. Several double degree programmes are offered in conjunction with some international partner universities.
Exchange students have access to courses according to the level of studies in their home university.
