Barbara CAEMMERER , Associate Professor of Marketing at ESSCA, has developed an extensive research profile in Services Marketing. She has been responsible for teaching Services Marketing, Marketing Research and Marketing Communications at Masters and MBA level at the University of Strathclyde Business School, Scotland. During her time at university, Barbara has worked on numerous research and knowledge exchange projects with partners from different service industries, including franchise systems. Her PhD was funded by the economic development agency of Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, and focused on the development and implementation of improved customer service systems.
Before entering a career in academia, Barbara worked for several years in marketing communications networks, DDB and BBDO in Germany and Mexico, with a particular focus on account management and strategic planning for international clients. She conducted market research as well as market analyses, and developed positioning strategies for a wide client portfolio, which also comprised of franchised retail chains.
