Launch of the "L'Express Challenge for Grandes Ecoles" (Défi L'Express)

This year, for the first time, our school is participating in the L'Express Challenge for Grandes Ecoles. This project is a sizeable one: 12 schools, 12 teams, and only one winner!
On October 15, 2009, the team, accompanied by Laurène Agin, the Project Manager at ESSCA, attended the premises of L'Express in Paris for the launch of this 22nd edition of the competition. The participants, journalism schools, political science institutes and business schools, were ready for the starting block: this competition will be a real challenge!
Each of the teams is to design and publish a regional 20 page supplement on its school's city. These supplements will be sold at the beginning of April 2010 with the national edition of the weekly magasine, L'Express. A grand jury composed of media professionals, in partnership with M6, will select the best supplement at the Challenge's closing ceremony next May.
The team arrived early in the morning at the L'Express head office for a day dedicated to a presentation of the Challenge and press and publication professions. The morning focused on the writing workshop, in the presence of the journalist and team sponsor responsible for supervising the project's progress, Richard de Vendeuil, who is also a renowned sociologist. During the meeting, Christophe Barbier, the Executive Editor of L'Express, visited the team.
