The Centre's team members

BRUSSET Xavier - ESSCA

Xavier Brusset has been at the origin of the Centre's creation in 2010 and coordinates its activites. A native from Paris (France), he studied at ESCP Europe, and holds a PhD in management science from the Catholic University of Louvain in Louvain la Neuve, Belgium. Prior to joining ESSCA in 2009, he was a research fellow at the Centre of Supply Chain Management at the Louvain School of Management. Xavier speaks English, Spanish and French, his main research focus is the modeling of the relationships between supply chain members using tools from Game theory, Contract theory and mechanism design in distributed decision-making.
Before entering academia, he co-founded a firm in Argentina enabling, through a Software as a Service web platform, communications between large industrial shippers and their hauliers.

Laslo Arva - ESSCA

Laszlo Arva is Professor of Marketing. Before joining ESSCA, he worked as researcher at the Hungarian National Planning Office, then was president of the Hungarian Small Business Administration (1990-1992), then general director of the Hungarian National Tourism Office. Later was free-lance consultant for companies, municipalities and for Chambers of Commerce. He earned his PhD in management science in Hungary. He speaks English and French. His research interests relate primarily to the fields of SME development and tourism marketing.

BOULAY Jacques - ESSCA

Jacques Boulay is Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean for research. Before joining ESSCA, he worked as a sales manager and as a senior consultant in the field of retailing with a focus on change management. He earned his PhD in management science from the University of Paris Dauphine. He speaks English and French. His research interest relates primarily to the fields of franchising and retail marketing. His research appears in national and international marketing and management journals.

He is the co-author of Les réseaux de Franchise (Editions La Découverte, 2010).

CAEMMERER Barbara - ESSCA

Barbara Caemmerer is associate professor of marketing and holds a PhD in marketing from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. She speaks German, English and some French. Her centre of interest in research is services marketing and management in public and private sector contexts (B2B and B2C).

DE FAULTRIER Brigitte - ESSCA

Brigitte de Faultrier is professor of marketing and head of the marketing department. She is responsible for the Master in Buying and Logistics in the apparel industry. She holds a PhD in management science from the IAE of La Réunion. She speaks English and French. Her research centers on the supply chain of the fashion industry, the competencies of the procurement agent and inter-organizational decision-making process in packaging. She is co-author of two manuals: "Fonction acheteur" (Ed. Dunod) and "Le manuel de l'acheteur, les achats dans la distribution textile" (Ed. Pearson).
Before starting an academic career, she held managerial positions in retail, first in point of sale locations and then in national purchasing departments where she was buying agent.

DUTERTRE Emmanuelle - ESSCA

Emmanuelle Dutertre is associate professor of sociology and head of the automotive distribution and retailing and services chair. She holds a PhD in sociology from the Nantes University. She speaks English and French. Her main scientific focus is on multibranding, salesforce management and new vehicle buyers.

DELI GRAY Szusza - ESSCA

Zsuzsa Deli-Gray, is professor in marketing and logistics and programme director at ESSCA Budapest. She holds an HDR in International Marketing from the Szechenyi Istvan University, Hungary, a PhD in management science from the Economic Sciences and Public Administration University of Budapest, Hungary. She speaks English, French and Hungarian. Her main research interests centre on international logistics, and international marketing.

FEENSTRA Florence - ESSCA

Florence Feenstra,Assistant Professor of Marketing teaches Fundamentals of Marketing, retail Marketing and Consumer goods Marketing at Bachelor and Master education level. Graduated from EM Lyon Business School, she began her career in business, with responsibilities in operational marketing (Merchandising, Trade Marketing and Category Management) within the multinational group UNILEVER. She holds a PHD in Management Science from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, thesis distinguished by the AFM FNEGE price 2010. Her research centers on a collaborative approach with retailers around three main topics: experience management in services, consumer competence and autonomy and C.R.M.

LEMOINE Jean-François - ESSCA

Jean-François Lemoine is professor of marketing. He holds a PhD in management science from the Poitiers University. He speaks English and French. His research interests are wide ranging: from experiential and sensorial marketing, e-marketing as well as ethno-marketing.

MORISSE Benjamin - ESSCA
Benjamin Morisse is professor of marketing and dean of faculty. He holds a PhD from University of Caen. He speaks English, German and French. His research interests cover consumer behaviour, automotive distribution channels and durable goods and service marketing.
MUZELLEC Laurent - ESSCA
Laurent Muzellec is associate Professor and teaches advertising and brand management, web business models and social media marketing at master and executive education levels. His research interests pertain to the field of corporate brand management, fictional brands, (reverse) product placement, branding strategies in interactive media and social media marketing. His articles have appeared in several international publications including Industrial Marketing Management, Marketing Theory, the Journal of Product and Brand Management and the European Journal of Marketing. His qualification includes an MBA from Texas A&M International University and a PhD from UCD Smurfit School of Business.
PRIETO Marc - ESSCA
Marc Prieto is associate professor of economics. He holds a PhD in management science from the University of Rouen. He speaks English, French and Spanish. His research goes into economics and consumer behaviour, economy of the automobile industry and individual choice.
ROUIS Sana - ESSCA
Sana Rouis is Asisstant Professor. She holds a Phd in e-Commerce from Luleå University of Technology in Sweden. Her research areas cover mainly online information systems usage, communities behavior on social networking platforms and end-user involvement in services design. She speaks English, French, Arabic and Swedish.
STAN Valentina
Valentina Stan is assistant professor of marketing. She holds a PhD in management science from the Conservatoire national des Arts et Métiers, Paris. She speaks English, French and Romanian. Her research interests center on consumer satisfaction and loyalty and consumer relationship management.
